Full job description

We are currently recruiting a couple of Personal Support Workers to assist a male employer with his activities of daily living, including personal care.

He is looking for caring and energetic individual with a passion to make a difference, where your presence and contribution are truly appreciated.

Location:

Surrey

Available Shifts:

Monday and Tuesday: 7:30am to 3:30pm (Mornings)
Thursday, Friday and Saturday: 10:30pm to 8:30am (Awake Overnight)
must be available to work all shifts

Compensation:

$20 per hour for training hours
$20 to $23 per hour based on experience and skill level

Responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to:

Assist with toileting and peri-care, showering and bed baths, personal hygiene
PEG Tube Feeding
Oral and Trachea Suctioning
Cough Assist Treatment
Trachea Care with Cannula Changes
Medication Administration
Mechanical Lift transfers

Requirements:

Experience with PEG tube Feeding - willing to train
Experience with Tracheostomy Care - willing to train
Suctioning Experience-(Must be with Disabled Adult Clients)
Experience using a Ceiling lift to transfer a disabled Adult client
Cough Assist treatment. Oral & deep trachea suctioning
Strong English Fluency-Client uses Spelling Board and Eye Gaze Technology
Covid vaccinations (2 doses and the most current booster dose)
Yearly Flu vaccination

Have you completed the PROP (Provincial Respiratory Outreach Program) course or Are you willing to take it?

Do you have experience assisting with PEG tube feeding?
Do you have any experience assisting an adult client with Tracheostomy Care?
Do you have at least 2 doses of the Covid 19 vaccination and the 2025 booster dose?
Do you have any experience using a suctioning machine to assist with the removal of saliva or mucus with an adult client who is disabled?
Are you available for both the morning shifts and Awake Overnight shifts in the ad?

Experience:

Caregiving (in a professional setting): 1 year (required)
