Full job description

Blackbird Security is currently hiring an Accounts Receivable Clerk - Invoicing to join our team at the Vancouver, BC headquarters.

Role Summary

As the Accounts Receivable Clerk, you will be part of our Accounting team, ultimately reporting to our Accounts Receivable Manager and the Chief Financial Officer. You will support our efforts in AR and Invoicing, participating in processing, and ensuring collections on more than 400 invoices bi-weekly for our clients across Canada!

This is a vital position within our company and needs someone ready to take ownership of our Invoicing and work in a self-directed manner.

The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, possess great time-management skills, and have a good understanding of the generally accepted accounting principles and customer service.

This position is a full-time role that requires you to work at our Vancouver HQ from Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5pm PST.

Job Responsibilities

Process bi-weekly and monthly invoices with high precision and accuracy, ensuring all billing aligns with stipulated timelines.
Update and maintain accurate invoicing and customer records within NetSuite.
Identify and rectify invoicing discrepancies, perform A/R reconciliations, and support the team with quotes, estimates, and budget spreadsheets.
Handling varied billing queries, resolving customer issues effectively with a customer-centric approach.
Actively monitor customer accounts for delayed payments. Follow up on outstanding payments with the direction of A/R Supervisor.
Assist with general A/R functions and tackle administrative or ad-hoc projects as assigned.

Job Requirements

1–2 years of hands-on experience handling full-cycle billing, or high-volume invoice generation.
Experience with Netsuite preferred but not mandatory as training will be provided.
Intermediate Excel skills to manage billing data efficiently and experience working with Microsoft Office suite required.
Post-secondary education or coursework in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is an asset.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Meticulous attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
