Full job description

Horizon Maritime Services Ltd. is seeking an experienced Marine Captain to join our Tugboat operations in British Columbia.

RESPONSIBILTIES:

Piloting an ASD-equipped tugboat to guide tanker vessels into port along the British Columbia coast
Adhering to Transport Canada and KOTUG Canada safety regulations and guidelines, operating in a safe and reliable manner
Consistent, efficient, and cooperative communication with port authorities, vessel captains, and other involved parties
Supervising deckhands and other seafaring staff to ensure safety guidelines are upheld, and the vessels are operated in an efficient manner

QUALIFICATIONS:

Master 3000 Ton Certificate of Competency
STCW Marine Emergency Duties training
Vessel Personnel with Security Responsibilities or Ship Security Officer training
Valid Transport Canada issued Seafarer Medical
Marine First Aid
WHMIS 2015

COMPENSATION PACKAGE:

Hourly wage $75.17
Health, Dental, short-term disability, accidental death and dismemberment, and life insurance upon hire
