Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Head Bartender to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service, a strong knowledge of food and beverage operations, and the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests. This role involves preparing and serving drinks, managing POS systems, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards. Previous restaurant experience and familiarity with Micros POS are highly desirable. The hired candidates will play a key role in enhancing the guest experience through excellent service and attentiveness.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with standard recipes and customer preferences
Perform the day to day tasks of a server during service
Use POS systems such as Clover POS for order entry, billing, and cash handling
Engage with guests to create a positive, memorable experience while maintaining professionalism
Manage cash transactions accurately, including cashiering duties and handling tips
Ensure all food safety and sanitation standards are strictly followed during beverage preparation and serving
Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, glassware, utensils, and equipment throughout shifts
Monitor guest behavior to promote responsible drinking practices
Assist in food service when necessary, including serving snacks or light menu items
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation during busy hours

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant or food industry setting preferred; hospitality background is a plus
Familiarity with Clover POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus
Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously
Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours
Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and tallying tabs accurately
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Strong communication skills and a personable demeanor
Must be at least 21 years old (if applicable based on local alcohol laws)
