Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Rock Truck Operator/Packer to join our dynamic construction team. In this vital role, you will operate heavy-duty rock trucks and packers to transport and distribute materials efficiently across construction sites. Your expertise will help ensure smooth operations, safety, and productivity on site. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of heavy equipment and contribute to large-scale infrastructure projects. Responsibilities

Operate rock trucks to haul materials such as gravel, dirt, or debris safely across construction sites
Pack and level materials using packers to prepare surfaces for paving or other construction activities
Utilize loaders, excavators, backhoes, graders, and bulldozers to assist in material handling and site preparation
Conduct routine inspections of heavy equipment including Caterpillar machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance
Follow all safety protocols and procedures during operation, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Assist with site cleanup, material staging, and loading/unloading operations as needed
Maintain accurate logs of daily activities, equipment usage, and material movements

Requirements

Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as rock trucks, loaders, excavators, graders, and packers in a construction environment
Mechanical knowledge of construction machinery including Caterpillar equipment is highly desirable
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with experience in heavy vehicle operation
Familiarity with dozer operation, horizontal drilling, paving techniques, and backhoe operation is a plus
Strong understanding of safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and construction sites
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and physically demanding environments
Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
