Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Industrial Butcher to join our manufacturing team in the food processing industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, cutting, and packaging meat products with precision and adherence to food safety standards. This role is essential in ensuring the quality and safety of our meat products while maintaining efficient production workflows. The ideal candidate will possess strong butchery skills, mechanical knowledge, and a commitment to sanitation and food safety protocols.

Duties

Perform meat cutting, trimming, and portioning according to specified standards and customer requirements.
Operate various butchery tools and machinery safely and efficiently, including knives, saws, and meat processing equipment.
Package finished products securely for distribution, ensuring proper labeling and presentation.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, tools, and equipment in compliance with food safety regulations.
Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of meat supplies and packaging materials.
Follow strict hygiene practices to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with sanitation standards.
Collaborate with team members to meet production targets while upholding quality control measures.
Conduct routine mechanical checks on equipment to ensure optimal operation and report any malfunctions promptly.

Requirements

Proven experience in butchery within the food industry or meat processing facility.
Knowledge of packaging techniques suitable for meat products.
Familiarity with manufacturing processes related to food processing.
Strong understanding of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and hygiene practices.
Mechanical knowledge related to operating and maintaining meat processing machinery.
Ability to perform precise meat cutting and meat trimming skills efficiently.
Excellent attention to detail, organization, and adherence to safety protocols.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
