About Us

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated surface Diamond Driller to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating drilling equipment, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and supporting various drilling projects.

Reporting to the site Foreman, the Driller sets up and operates drilling equipment in a safe and efficient manner to maximize core recovery.

Responsibilities

Being responsible for the set-up, repair & maintenance, and safe operation of all drilling-related equipment.
Supervising the Driller’s Helper by being a safety leader; sets expectations for safety and quality standards.
Ensuring the safety of themselves, their Helper and other crew on site.
Ensuring the organization and cleanliness of the drill and drill site location.
Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of drilling tools and machinery.
Maintain detailed records of drilling activities, equipment usage, and safety checks.
Ensure compliance with all environmental and safety regulations throughout operations.
Collaborate with team members to execute drilling projects effectively.
Communication with the Foreman and Geologist on a daily basis.

Requirements & Qualifications

Minimum of 2-3 years of diamond drilling experience
Have a valid Canadian Driver’s Licence and must provide a current Driver’s Abstract annually
Valid Standard (Intermediate) First Aid with CPR/AED Level C
Legally authorized to work in Canada
Physically fit - capable of heavy lifting and repetitive tasks and standing for extended periods
Able to work long hours & shift work for extended periods (12 hrs/day, alternating days and nights, camp setting, rotations)
Able to pass spontaneous Drug & Alcohol tests
Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently, an asset
Common Core modules, an asset
Strong understanding of safety protocols related to drilling operations
Excellent teamwork skills with a focus on safety and precision
Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to various project requirements
