About the Role
To support this continued growth, Connor Industries is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical A/R & Operations Analyst to join our team in a full-time, on-site role based in Parry Sound, Ontario. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, enjoys solving problems, and can identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting, and information flow across departments.
The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting both financial and operational functions through accounts receivable management, operational reporting, process development, and cross-functional coordination. This role requires strong Microsoft Excel skills, critical thinking abilities, and a proactive mindset focused on improving efficiency, accuracy, and communication throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage accounts receivable functions, including invoicing, collections, payment tracking, reconciliations, and monitoring customer accounts
- Ensure accurate invoice creation, maintain financial records, and support month-end reporting activities
- Follow up professionally and effectively on outstanding balances and account discrepancies
- Prepare and maintain operational and financial reports using Microsoft Excel
- Analyze operational and financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvement
- Assist with developing and improving internal processes, workflows, reporting structures, and information flow between departments
- Coordinate with sales, production, accounting, and management teams to ensure accuracy, consistency, and timely communication of information
- Support forecasting, project milestone tracking, operational performance metrics, and ad hoc financial analysis
- Maintain accurate documentation and records across multiple systems and platforms
- Contribute to operational improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing productivity, reporting accuracy, and overall business performance
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable, operations analysis, accounting support, invoice processing, reconciliation, or similar roles
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required, including formulas, lookups, pivot tables, data analysis, and reporting
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems such as Sage or similar platforms is considered an asset
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify process improvements and operational efficiencies
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, on-site team environment
- Experience within manufacturing, construction, distribution, boating, or other project-based industries is considered an asset
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
