Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Office Admin/ Safety Co-ordinator to join our Construction team. This role is vital in ensuring smooth administrative operations while maintaining a strong focus on workplace safety and compliance. The ideal candidate will possess experience in Office Administration environments and have a passion for working as a team, but able to work on their own as well. Working in the Construction Industry and possessing COR training would be an asset.

Duties

Manage daily office administrative tasks, including scheduling, correspondence, and record keeping
Coordinate safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards
Conduct safety inspections and identify potential hazards within the facility and Job Sites
Assist in developing, implementing, and updating safety policies and procedures
Organize and facilitate safety training sessions for staff members
Maintain safety documentation, incident reports, and training records
Support management in safety audits and investigations
Collaborate with team members to promote a culture of continuous improvement in safety practices

Qualifications

Prior experience in an Office Administration environment is highly preferred
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Excellent communication skills for training and development purposes
Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices within industrial settings
Ability to coordinate multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated ability to lead safety initiatives and foster team engagement in safety protocols
Proficiency in office software applications such as MS Office Suite
Fluent in English
