Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cafeteria Workers to join our clients team on the day shift 6:00am to 2:30pm and afternoon shift 4pm to 1:00am. The ideal candidates will possess a strong background in food service and hospitality, with a passion for providing excellent customer service. This role involves preparing and serving food, maintaining cleanliness in the cafeteria, and ensuring a positive dining experience for all guests.

Our client is looking for full time, part time and on-call staff.

Due to the location you must have your own vehicle.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve meals in accordance with established recipes and portion sizes.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cafeteria area, including dining spaces and food preparation areas.
Coverage for cashier when needed.
Working as a short order cook when needed
Assist with food handling and ensure compliance with food safety standards.
Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service during peak hours.
Support catering events and banquets as needed, contributing to menu planning and execution.
Perform routine inventory checks on supplies and report any shortages or needs to management.
Uphold high standards of hygiene and sanitation in all food preparation processes.
Cleaning and washing dishes at the end of shift

Experience

Previous experience in the food industry is preferred, including cafeteria aide.
Fine dining experience is a plus, showcasing an understanding of high-quality service standards.
Familiarity with food preparation techniques and safe food handling practices is essential.
Previous QSR experience an asset
Customer service experience is required; ability to interact positively with guests is crucial.
Experience in catering or banquet settings is advantageous but not mandatory.
Knowledge and experience working a POS terminal
A background in hospitality will be beneficial for creating a welcoming environment for diners.
