SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a detail-oriented and creative Graphic Designer to join our team in the fleet vehicle graphics industry.
In this role, you will create, adapt, and prepare graphic concepts for vehicle wraps, decals, and fleet branding projects. You will work closely with our sales, customer service, and production teams to understand client needs, develop design solutions, prepare accurate files, and ensure that graphics are suitable for production and installation.
This position is ideal for someone who is both creative and technically minded, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Design and Concept Development
- Create original designs for fleet vehicles based on client requests, brand guidelines, vehicle specifications, and production requirements.
- Review client-provided examples, logos, artwork, and reference materials to understand the desired look and feel.
- Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to clarify project requirements and propose design ideas or improvements.
- Communicate with clients when needed to gather additional information or clarify design requests.
- Prepare first-round design presentations for internal review and client approval.
- Revise designs based on feedback and prepare updated versions until final approval is received.
Adaptation of Existing Designs
- Adapt previously created vehicle graphics to new vehicle models, sizes, or configurations.
- Review past projects, technical specifications, photos, and reference files to ensure design consistency and accuracy.
- Research vehicle models and contours when needed to confirm fit and compatibility.
- Adjust layouts, proportions, and graphic placements to ensure the design works properly on the requested vehicle.
File Preparation and Technical Support
- Prepare and verify graphic files for production, ensuring accuracy, scale, resolution, and compatibility with production requirements.
- Create or locate blank vehicle templates for internal teams or clients.
- Review logos and artwork to determine whether files are production-ready.
- Confirm whether requested graphics are compatible with specific vehicle types.
- Organize and share files with internal teams and clients using appropriate file-sharing tools.
- Troubleshoot file, software, compatibility, or technical issues related to design and production.
- Support the creation of graphics for company promotional materials when required.
Collaboration and Process Improvement
- Maintain positive and professional relationships with internal teams, clients, and external partners.
- Contribute to improvements in work methods, procedures, and departmental efficiency.
- Provide technical and administrative support to other departments as needed.
- Perform other related tasks as required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
- College diploma or equivalent training in Graphic Design, Computer Graphics, or a related field.
- to 5 years of relevant graphic design experience.
- Experience in the fleet vehicle graphics, signage, vehicle wrap, or large-format print industry is a strong asset.
Technical Knowledge
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft suite.
