Overview

Join our dynamic team as an Automotive Parts Manager and lead the procurement, inventory management, and customer service operations within a thriving dealership environment. In this energetic role, you will oversee the sourcing of automotive parts, manage supply chain logistics, and ensure that our customers and technicians receive top-quality parts efficiently. Your expertise will drive operational excellence, foster supplier relationships, and contribute to the overall success of our dealership. This position offers a rewarding opportunity for motivated professionals passionate about automotive parts management and exceptional service delivery.

Duties

Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including sourcing, negotiation, and purchasing of automotive parts to ensure optimal inventory levels.
Oversee data entry related to inventory management, purchase orders, and supply chain documentation using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software.
Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to source high-quality parts at competitive prices while maintaining strong professional relationships.
Supervise inventory control procedures, including regular stock audits, demand planning, and cycle counts to minimize shortages or excess stock.
Provide exceptional customer service by assisting technicians and customers with parts inquiries, order status updates, and technical support related to mechanical knowledge.
Oversee warehouse operations, including forklift handling and safety compliance, ensuring efficient storage and retrieval of parts.
Collaborate with manufacturing or service departments to forecast future parts demand based on vehicle trends and repair schedules.

Skills

Proven dealership experience with a strong understanding of automotive parts sourcing, procurement, and inventory management.
Proficiency in data entry tasks related to supply chain logistics using CMMS platforms.
Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with suppliers while maintaining quality standards.
Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally.
Mechanical knowledge of automotive systems
Familiarity with supply chain principles, demand planning strategies, and sourcing best practices within an automotive or manufacturing setting.
Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification preferred or willing to train.
