Overview
Montana's is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. This role is essential in preparing high-quality dishes and supporting the overall kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, a strong understanding of food safety standards, and experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Whether you're just starting your culinary career or bringing previous kitchen experience, this position offers an excellent opportunity to grow within the food industry.

Duties

Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to recipes and presentation standards
Assist in food preparation including chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
Cook menu items with consistency and attention to quality
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety protocols
Support the kitchen team during busy hours to ensure timely service
Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent cross-contamination and ensure safety
Stock supplies and assist with inventory management as needed
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service roles within a restaurant or food industry setting
Knowledge of food handling and safety regulations (food safety certification is a plus)
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Strong understanding of meal preparation techniques and kitchen equipment operation
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Serving experience is beneficial but not required; a positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential
Familiarity with restaurant standards for cleanliness, sanitation, and safety protocols
