Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant / Leasing Agent to join our dynamic property management team. This role combines administrative excellence with a passion for customer service and sales, ensuring smooth leasing operations and positive tenant experiences. You will be the first point of contact for prospective residents, manage leasing processes, and support daily office functions with enthusiasm and professionalism. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in property management while making a meaningful impact on our community.

Responsibilities

Greet prospective tenants warmly, answer inquiries via phone and email, and schedule property tours to showcase available units
Assist with leasing applications, verify applicant information, and process lease agreements efficiently using Yardi property management software
Maintain accurate data entry of tenant records, lease details, and maintenance requests in our property management system
Support office operations by managing filing systems, updating tenant files, and handling correspondence with professionalism and confidentiality
Coordinate with maintenance teams using online tools to track service requests and ensure timely resolutions
Foster positive relationships with current tenants through excellent customer service, addressing concerns promptly and professionally
Support sales efforts by promoting available units, negotiating lease terms when appropriate, and contributing to occupancy goals

Skills

Proficiency in property management software for leasing and data entry tasks
Strong office experience with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Previous administrative experience in a fast-paced environment, ideally within property management or real estate
Effective sales skills combined with customer service expertise to engage prospective tenants confidently
Knowledge of property management practices, including lease negotiations and tenant relations
Excellent negotiation skills to facilitate lease agreements that benefit both tenants and the company
Ability to build strong customer relationships through effective communication and phone etiquette
Familiarity with data entry, filing systems, and general office procedures to ensure smooth daily operations
