Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Automotive General Sales Manager to lead our dealership’s sales operations with energy and expertise. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the entire sales team, develop strategic sales initiatives, and drive revenue growth by cultivating strong relationships with customers and business partners. Your leadership will inspire a high-performance sales environment, ensuring exceptional customer service and achieving ambitious sales targets. Duties

Lead and motivate the sales team to meet and exceed monthly and annual sales goals through effective coaching and support
Develop and implement innovative sales strategies to attract new clients and retain existing customers, including B2B (business-to-business) sales initiatives
Manage the entire sales pipeline, from prospecting outside sales opportunities to closing vehicle deals
Conduct negotiations with customers and business partners to secure favorable terms while maintaining customer satisfaction
Oversee marketing efforts aimed at increasing dealership visibility and attracting diverse clientele
Support the sales team with training on upselling techniques, phone etiquette, and customer service excellence
Maintain detailed records of sales activities, customer interactions, and deal progress using organizational tools
Collaborate with the marketing department to develop promotional campaigns that boost retail sales and brand awareness
Ensure compliance with dealership policies, industry regulations, and safety standards

Qualifications

Proven experience in dealership sales management or automotive retail sales with a strong track record of achieving targets
Excellent negotiation skills coupled with B2B (business-to-business) sales experience
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple leads, appointments, and follow-ups efficiently
Exceptional communication skills for effective team leadership and customer engagement
Knowledge of marketing strategies relevant to automotive retail environments
Ability to analyze math-related data such as pricing structures, profit margins, and financial reports accurately
Experience in outside sales activities that expand dealership reach into new markets or territories
Demonstrated ability to support a high-volume sales pipeline while maintaining excellent customer service standards
