ABOUT DISHWASHERHERO
DishwasherHero places trained, reliable back-of-house staff — dishwashers, prep cooks, kitchen porters, and line cooks — with restaurants, hotels, and event venues across the United States and Canada on recurring managed contracts.
We operate in multiple cities and we are expanding US markets. Our clients include independent restaurants, boutique hotels, and national hospitality groups. Inbound leads are growing fast. We need a builder — someone who can create the recruitment and onboarding department from the ground up and support our North American operations directly in the field when needed.
This is not a desk job. This is an operational leadership role.
---
THE ROLE
You will build and own the Recruitment & Onboarding department for DishwasherHero — responsible for sourcing, screening, and onboarding 100 workers across all active US markets within the first 90 days.
Beyond recruitment, you will support our US operations on the ground — traveling to key markets to meet clients, supervise worker deployments, resolve operational issues, and represent DishwasherHero at the field level when required.
You report to the Operations Coordinator and work in close coordination with the Booking & Dispatch team and Client Success Manager.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruitment & Sourcing
- Build and manage job postings on Indeed and ZipRecruiter across all active US markets
- Develop position-specific screening criteria for dishwashers, prep cooks, kitchen porters, line cooks, housemen, and room attendants
- Conduct phone screens and qualify candidates against deployment-readiness standards
- Maintain an active candidate pipeline organized by city, position type, and availability
- Develop additional sourcing channels: community boards, hospitality schools, referral programs
Onboarding & Compliance
- Manage complete US staff with W-2 onboarding documentation for all workers: I-9, W-4, direct deposit, state-specific tax forms
- Coordinate background checks and reference verification
- Brief new workers on DishwasherHero standards, dress code, conduct, and site reporting protocol
- Maintain organized, compliant worker files across all markets
- Coordinate with HR/Payroll on worker activation and first payroll clearance
US Operations Support
- Travel to US markets (New York, Arizona, and new cities) to support client onboardings, worker deployments, and operational visits
- Act as the on-the-ground representative of DishwasherHero when the Market Supervisor requires backup
- Identify operational gaps in the field and report directly to leadership
- Support new city launches from a workforce readiness standpoint
Department Building
- Design and document the full recruitment-to-deployment workflow
- Build and maintain a worker database by market, position, and availability status
- Report weekly: pipeline volume, screening conversion rate, onboarding completion, market coverage
- Anticipate worker supply gaps before client demand is unmet
- Scale the department as new US markets are activated
---
PERFORMANCE STANDARDS
- 100+ workers recruited and onboarded within 90 days
- Screening-to-offer cycle under 5 business days
- 100% documentation complete before worker Day 1
- Zero compliance defects on worker files
- Market coverage maintained across all active cities
---
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- 3 to 5 years in recruitment, talent acquisition, staffing coordination, or workforce management — hospitality or high-volume hourly staffing background strongly preferred
- Full professional fluency in English and Spanish — both are mandatory for this role
- French fluency is a strong asset (bilingual workplace and Montreal-based team)
- Proven experience recruiting high-volume hourly workers across multiple locations simultaneously
- Familiarity with US employment documentation: I-9, W-4, state tax compliance — or demonstrated ability to learn fast
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly to US markets — valid passport or travel documents required
- Experience supporting field operations, not just back-office recruitment
- Organized and process-driven — you build systems, not just fill seats
- Proficient with Indeed, ZipRecruiter, Google Workspace, and CRM or ATS tools
- Builder mentality — you are here to create something, not maintain something
---
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Full-time position — competitive base salary commensurate with experience
- Travel expenses covered for all US market visits
- Direct ownership of a department from day one
- Clear path to Director of Recruitment as the organization scales
- Work at the intersection of recruitment, compliance, and field operations

HOW TO APPLY
Submit your resume along with a brief note — 4 to 6 sentences — answering the following:
1. What is the largest volume of workers you have recruited or onboarded in a single role, and how did you manage the process?
2. Which US cities do you have direct labor market knowledge in?
3. Confirm your fluency level in English and Spanish.
Generic cover letters will not be reviewed.
We are looking for someone who has done this before and can prove it.
