Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and versatile Kitchen assistant/student to support our catering and bakery services. This role involves assisting with food preparation, customer service, delivery, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service, and possess excellent communication skills to ensure a positive experience for the clients.

Duties

Assist with food preparation and meal assembly in accordance with safety standards
Provide exceptional customer service, addressing their needs courteously and answering their questions
Operate point of sales systems for order processing and cash handling
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen area through regular cleaning and sanitation
Support serving staff with food delivery and guest assistance as needed
Handle food safety procedures, including proper food handling and storage
Assist with cashiering duties, including processing payments accurately
Ensure compliance with health regulations and safety protocols at all times

Skills

Experience in food service (catering) preferred
Knowledge of food preparation, cooking, and food safety standards preferred
Familiarity with point of sales systems/platforms
Strong communication skills (French and English spoken fluently)
Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly
Experience in delivery an asset
Attention to cleanliness and detail in maintaining hygiene standards
Good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize duties effectively

Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
