Full job description

We are seeking a versatile Data Scientist to join our team and bridge the gap between traditional data analysis and cutting-edge Large Language Models (LLMs). In this role, you will be responsible for building end-to-end solutions, fine-tuning models, and leveraging advanced AI tools like Gemini.

This position is ideal for a strong Python developer who is deeply passionate about the evolving landscape of AI and eager to build production-ready AI applications. This is a new position.

Key Responsibilities

Model Implementation: Design and deploy machine learning models using Python, focusing on both predictive analytics and Generative AI applications.
LLM Integration: Develop applications using LLMs (e.g., Gemini, GPT-4, etc...) through API integration, prompt engineering, and customize workflows.
Data Pipeline Development: Write clean, maintainable Python code to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources.
Experimentation & Evaluation: Conduct rigorous testing and evaluation of model performance, ensuring AI outputs are accurate, grounded, and ethical.
Collaboration: Work closely with product and analysts teams to integrate data insights and AI features into our core products.

Technical Qualifications

Python: High proficiency in Python and its data ecosystem (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-Learn, PyTorch/TensorFlow)
LLM Expertise: Hands-on experience with LLM orchestration frameworks
API Proficiency: Familiarity with calling and managing APIs.
Database Knowledge: Experience with SQL
Version Control: Comfortable using Git/GitHub for collaborative development.

Preferred Professional Background

1 to 3 years of experience with a strong portfolio of Python projects or a relevant degree.
1+ experience in deploying models into a production environment.
A "hacker” mindset, the ability to keep up with the weekly changes in the AI space and self-teach new libraries.

Nous recherchons un(e) Data Scientist polyvalent(e) pour rejoindre notre équipe et faire le pont entre l'analyse de données traditionnelle et les modèles de langage de pointe (LLM). À ce poste, vous serez responsable de concevoir des solutions de bout en bout, de peaufiner (fine-tuning) des modèles et d'exploiter des outils d'IA avancés comme Gemini.

Ce poste est idéal pour un(e) développeur(se) Python chevronné(e), passionné(e) par l'évolution constante de l'IA et désireux(se) de concevoir des applications IA prêtes pour la production. Il s'agit d'une création de poste.

Responsabilités principales

Mise en œuvre de modèles : Concevoir et déployer des modèles de machine learning en Python, en vous concentrant à la fois sur l'analyse prédictive et les applications d'IA générative.
Intégration de LLM : Développer des applications s'appuyant sur des LLM (ex. Gemini, GPT-4, etc.) via l'intégration d'API, l'ingénierie de prompts (prompt engineering) et la personnalisation des flux de travail.
Développement de pipelines de données : Écrire du code Python propre et maintenable pour extraire, transformer et charger (ETL) des données provenant de sources variées.
Expérimentation et évaluation : Mener des tests rigoureux et évaluer la performance des modèles afin de garantir que les résultats de l'IA soient précis, fiables (grounded) et éthiques.
Collaboration : Travailler en étroite collaboration avec les équipes produit et analyse pour intégrer des informations issues des données et des fonctionnalités d'IA dans nos produits clés.

Qualifications techniques

Python : Maîtrise approfondie de Python et de son écosystème de données (ex. Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-Learn, PyTorch/TensorFlow).
Expertise LLM : Expérience pratique des frameworks d'orchestration de LLM.
Maîtrise des API : Aisance dans l'appel et la gestion des API.
Base de données : Expérience avec SQL.
Gestion de versions : Maîtrise de Git/GitHub pour le développement collaboratif.

Profil recherché (atouts)

1 à 3 ans d'expérience accompagnés d'un solide portfolio de projets Python, ou un diplôme pertinent.
Au moins 1 an d'expérience dans le déploiement de modèles en environnement de production.
Un esprit hacker, une capacité à suivre les évolutions hebdomadaires du domaine de l'IA et une aptitude à vous auto-former sur de nouvelles bibliothèques.

Pay: $40.00-$50.00 per hour

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Verdun, QC
