JOB SUMMARY
The Billet Molding Operator is a key member of Enflo’s operations team. The Billet Molding Operator reports to the Plant Manager. The Billet Molding Operator’s primary day-to-day responsibility is to ensure billet production meets the company’s production schedule and cost requirements. This will include direct responsibility for mold setup, press, inspection, heat treat, labelling and data entry into Epicore.
Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Reads and understands requirements of work orders, follows instructions
- Uses math skills to learn use of weight scales, hydraulic gauges, micrometers, verniers
- Refers to the Billet Process Sheet Book to determine correct procedures to follow for the specific billet required.
- Sets up molds, fills with resin, operates hydraulic ram presses in a proper and safe manner
- Removes billets from mold, checks all dimensions, visually inspects billets for cracks
- Labels all billets legibly with correct data
- Loads and unloads sintering ovens
- Maintains molding logs and enters data into Epicore
- Operates Forklift in a safe manner
- Operates shear, cut-off, band, and panel saws in a safe manner and wears appropriate personal protection equipment
- Trains other operators as required
- Works 40 hours w/overtime as requested
Qualifications/Experience:
- 5+ years lathe operation experience.
- Experience in job shop environment.
- Must be able to lift 60 lbs.
- PC proficiency is helpful. Working knowledge of ERP systems is preferred.
