We are looking for an experienced and qualified HVAC professional who can confidently work independently, manage jobs from start to finish, and deliver high-quality workmanship without supervision.

What We’re Looking For

Qualified and experienced HVAC technician / installer
Strong experience in:
HVAC systems
Refrigeration
Gas fitting
Ventilation and duct work
Able to work independently and complete jobs without supervision
Confident diagnosing, testing, repairing, servicing, and installing systems
Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
Professional communication and customer service skills
Organised, punctual, and reliable
Valid driver’s licence and own vehicle
Own hand tools essential
Willing to travel outside of the Okanagan when required
Must already be in Canada and available to start immediately
(No visa sponsorship available)

Responsibilities

Independently install, service, maintain, and repair HVAC-R systems
Diagnose and troubleshoot residential, commercial, and light industrial equipment
Perform testing, commissioning, and system start-ups
Read and interpret plans, schematics, and technical drawings
Complete preventative maintenance and emergency service calls
Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, and site managers
Ensure all work is completed safely and to code
Maintain clean and organised job sites, vehicles, and work areas
Complete job documentation and reporting accurately
Represent BlackJack HVAC professionally on all job sites

Preferred Qualifications

Red Seal certification considered a strong asset
Gas fitting certification
Refrigeration experience
Experience with rooftop units, mini splits, furnaces, boilers, and commercial systems
Experience working independently in service and installation environments

Pay to be negotiated based on experience and qualifications.
