Job Summary & Responsibilities:
The Fitter/Welder role operates within a production team comprising 20 or more workers and directly reports to the Shop Foreman/Coating Manager. There's a bi-weekly rotation between day and night shifts. The ideal candidate should possess experience in a fast-paced custom steel fabrication environment. Proficiency in blueprint reading is advantageous, while familiarity with Weld Symbols is a requirement for the welding role. A weld test will be conducted as part of the interview process. The individual is accountable for maintaining a safe and tidy work area. Additionally, accurate clocking in and out of projects on a daily basis is expected.

Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years of experience in Welding/Fitting.
Excellent communication skills (written, oral, listening), problem-solving ability, collaboration skills, task planning, and attention to detail.
Preferably holds a Secondary School Graduation Diploma.
Proficient in using Power Tools.
Accurate and efficient welding/assembly of parts according to provided drawings/instructions.
Capable of working in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changes, and performing under pressure.
Demonstrates a positive attitude and works effectively in a team.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule and overtime when necessary.
Ability to read a tape measure in both Imperial and Metric units.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00-$31.00 per hour
