Full job description

We are seeking a Lab Tech to support quality assurance and laboratory operations in a manufacturing environment. This role will start as a three month contract role.

Key Responsibilities

Perform daily and weekly quality testing on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
Maintain laboratory organization and compliance with 5S standards.
Record, review, and manage testing data and laboratory documentation.
Calibrate and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment.
Support and participate in internal audits and quality management system activities.
Assist with maintaining ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 standards and certifications.
Monitor testing programs and ensure compliance with quality procedures.
Prepare reports, track performance metrics, and support management reviews.
Investigate non-conformances and recommend corrective actions.
Verify customer requirements and support product acceptance processes.
Manage sample retention and testing records.
Assist with research and development projects as required.
Participate in customer visits, presentations, and quality-related meetings.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of laboratory, quality assurance, or quality management experience.
Experience using standard laboratory testing equipment and instrumentation.
Knowledge of ISO quality standards and auditing processes.
Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Manufacturing, plastics, polymer, or chemical industry experience is considered an asset.

Pay: $26.50 per hour
