At Omni Quality Living, our passion is people. Whether you are connected to us through residency, family, or as a team member, you are the driving force behind our everyday care! We are in search of a Casual Laundry Aide for our Petrolia, Ontario location - Bear Creek Terrace.

This position reports directly to the Environmental Services Manager and is responsible for assisting to ensure that laundry services are in provided in full compliance with long term care program standards and all applicable legislation.

The Details

Casual role
Starting Rate: $17.60 per hour

THE RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist the Environmental Services Manager to ensure that laundry services are efficient and in full compliance with the Fixing Long Term Care Act and Regulations, Accreditation standards and any other pertinent standards and legislated requirements
Perform all assigned laundry duties in accordance with established schedules, policies and procedures.
Wash and dry all home linens and residents’ personal clothing and other items as directed.
Complete garment care as assigned (ironing, linen and clothing repairs, labelling etc.)
Retrieve soiled laundry from resident care areas and deliver clean linens and resident clothing as assigned.
Demonstrate expertise in cleaning techniques to ensure a hygienic environment.
Collaborate with team members to efficiently manage housekeeping and laundry tasks.
Adhere to established protocols and standards for laundry and housekeeping operations.
Adhere to all established policies and procedures in Infection Control.
Adhere to the established systems of reporting and recording.

Education

High School Diploma
