Journeyperson Electrician

Location: Hamilton/Niagara and surrounding areas

Van Herc Electrical is a growing electrical contractor specializing primarily in residential electrical installations, service, and renovations, with occasional commercial projects. We take pride in delivering high-quality workmanship, exceptional customer service, and maintaining a safe work environment.

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will have experience in residential electrical work and be comfortable working independently and as part of a team on a variety of projects.

Responsibilities

Perform residential electrical installations, upgrades, renovations, and service calls.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems and equipment.
Read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
Install, maintain, and test electrical wiring, fixtures, and control devices.
Ensure all work complies with applicable electrical codes and safety regulations.
Complete occasional commercial electrical projects as required.
Maintain a clean and organized worksite.
Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, and team members.

Qualifications

Valid Journeyperson Electrician certification.
Strong knowledge of residential electrical systems and practices.
Commercial experience is considered an asset.
Ability to work independently and efficiently.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Job Types: Permanent, Full-time

Pay: $37.00-$40.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

Niagara, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

Journeyman Electrician: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

Drivers Licence (required)

Work Location: In person
