We are currently seeking a Draftsperson to join our team at our Martensville, Saskatchewan location. The Draftsperson will play a hands-on role in bringing architectural concepts to life by developing and preparing detailed designs and drawings to facilitate the construction of new homes. This includes creating plans, diagrams, and layouts from sketches while ensuring all drawings are accurate, well-coordinated, and aligned with design data and project specifications.

The Draftsperson will be responsible for:
- Designing and preparing plans using computer-aided design and drafting software.
- Adding structural details to architectural plans from their knowledge of building techniques.
- Checking and verifying designs to ensure that the drawings conform to design specifications and requirements.
- Coordinating and incorporating design revisions, redlines, and consultant inputs into drawing sets as required.
- Assisting with the preparation of construction specifications, cost estimations, and material takeoffs
- Ensuring all drawings and structural requirements comply with the building codes and bylaws.
- Collaborate with contractors, engineers, architects, tradespersons, and clients to ensure accurate and effective implementation of designs.
- Interpret client sketches, notes, and specifications into detailed drawings
- Maintaining an organized archive of drawings, revisions, and project files.
- Other related duties as assigned.
The Draftsperson will have:
- 3–5 years of architectural drafting experience.
- Working knowledge of the National Building Code (Part 3 and Part 9).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit would be an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook).
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in architecture, drafting, or a related field.
- Previous experience working on residential and commercial construction projects.
- Strong understanding of building materials, manufacturing processes, and building methods and standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet tight deadlines, and perform effectively in a fast-paced, growing, and ever-changing environment.
