Full job description

Job Summary
Our privately owned and well established office is seeking an experienced and highly organized Dental Office Manager to oversee the daily operations of our dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent knowledge of dental and medical office procedures, and proficiency with practice management software Dentrix. This role involves managing staff, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and maintaining a smooth workflow to provide exceptional patient care. The Dental Office Manager will be instrumental in fostering an efficient, welcoming environment for both staff and patients.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate the administrative staff, including managing the schedule, training, performance evaluations and front end/chart audit and compliance.
Oversee patient scheduling, billing, and insurance claims processing using Dentrix
Cheque entry and ledger reconcilliation
Preparing and overseeing weekly bank deposits
Preparing and reviewing month end and other financial documents
Manage human resources functions such as hiring, onboarding, and resolving staff issues - we do have a human resources consulting partner to assist with these duties.
Maintain accurate financial records, assist with budgeting, payroll submission, and monitor practice expenses
Facilitate communication between clinical and administrative teams to optimize workflow
Handle patient inquiries, resolve complaints, and ensure a high level of patient satisfaction
Implement office policies and procedures to improve efficiency and service quality
Stay updated on industry best practices related to dental office management and healthcare regulations
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, privacy laws, and safety standards
Emergency relief for front end reception

Qualifications

Proven experience in dental office management or a similar healthcare administrative role
Proficiency with Dentrix or comparable practice management software
Previous reception experience an asset
Strong understanding of dental terminology, electronic medical records, and healthcare compliance standards
Experience in human resources management, including supervising staff and managing team dynamics
Knowledge of budgeting, billing processes, insurance claims, and financial reporting within a healthcare setting
Proficiency in microsoft excel and word programs as well as quicken or other banking programs
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills to interact professionally with staff and patients
Ability to adapt to evolving healthcare regulations and technology updates

Pay: $24.71-$41.53 per hour
