SSR Mining – Seabee Gold Operation (SGO) is hiring for a Driller, Jumbo .
About Your New Role:
Reporting to the Supervisor, Mine Operations, the Driller, Jumbo, will be responsible for operating various underground mining equipment in a safe and efficient manner. You will be proficient in all aspects of underground mining. You will focus on maintaining production targets.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Must hold or can obtain a valid Saskatchewan blasting ticket.
Operate 1 and 2 boom Jumbo’s.
Prep faces and load rounds.
Read mine prints and follow geological ground control.
Any other duties as assigned by the department.
Your Knowledge and Skills:
Work both independently and within a team in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment with the utmost professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality is essential.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Your Education and Experience:
The successful candidate will have:
Completed Grade 12 or equivalent.
Minimum ten (10) years’ experience in an underground hard rock mine, preferably gold mining.
Five (5) years’ experience on 1 and 2 Boom Jumbo.
Experienced in drill and blast procedures.
Experience on Epiroc MC2 considered an asset.
Experience on Epiroc Total Station considered an asset.
About Our Working Conditions:
This position has a schedule of 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off at our remote camp which you will be required to fly in fly out with pick up points in Saskatoon, Prince Albert and La Ronge.
