Convergint is looking for an enthusiastic, results driven and forward-thinking Journeyperson HVAC/R Mechanic with Gas "A" ticket in our Fort McMurray location. This is a 14/14 rotating shift with accommodation provided for the duration of your shift.

Main Job Responsibilities

Service & Maintenance of heating/air conditioning/refrigeration equipment and systems for the purpose of providing comfort and indoor air quality.

Inspect systems and their components (e.g. roof top units, air handling units, restaurant /refrigeration equipment, make-up air units, exhaust fans, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring proper efficient operation of equipment.

Respond to service and warranty calls and repair failed components in a timely and efficient manner to support facility and tenant needs.

Prepare documentation (e.g. records of refrigerants, paperwork, logs, time and materials, specifications, etc.) for the purpose of providing written support in compliance with regulations and/or conveying information to customer on work performed.

Use solid troubleshooting skills to isolate and fix problems in malfunctioning HVAC equipment.

Provide HVAC support to end users when applicable. Seek guidance from more experience staff for difficult and unusual situations.

Use HVAC knowledge, skills and experience to act as mentor for less experienced staff. May provide guidance to workers in testing, tuning, and adjusting equipment to obtain optimum operating performance.

Execute all work in accordance with Provincial, local regulations, general best practices as well as company health and safety policies and procedures.

Act as “our customer’s best service provider” at all times thereby ensuring Convergint Technologies is the customer’s first choice for service.

Keep up to date and informed on all company products, services and policies.

Present a professional image of Convergint at all times in appearance and behavior and seeks opportunities to promote the services offered by the company.

Communicate with and work with the other team members consistently to improve overall operations of the Convergint Technology Center, and company.

Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.
Key Knowledge, Skills and Experience
-
Minimum of 5 years of industrial HVAC maintenance experience
-
5 - 10 years of commercial & industrial combined experience
-
Journeyman HVAC/R Mechanic certification required
-
Gas Fitter ‘A’ Ticket is essential

Customer Focus – Maintaining awareness of and seeking to meet of the needs and wants of the customer

Excellent communication skills both oral and written
