Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Pastry Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in baking and pastry arts, with a keen eye for detail and creativity in cake decorating. This role involves preparing a variety of baked goods, desserts, and pastries while maintaining high standards of food safety and presentation. The Pastry Chef will contribute to creating an exceptional dining experience for our customers by delivering beautifully crafted and delicious pastries.

Responsibilities

Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, and desserts according to established recipes and standards
Decorate cakes and pastries with artistic flair, ensuring visual appeal
Assist in food preparation and cooking for the bakery and restaurant sections as needed
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry station in compliance with food safety regulations
Handle food packaging for takeout orders with attention to quality and presentation
Ensure all baked goods meet quality standards before serving or packaging
Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene at all times
Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate production schedules and menu offerings

Skills

Proven experience in cake decorating, baking, or pastry arts, preferably within a restaurant or bakery environment
Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen safety protocols
Excellent customer service skills to engage with guests when necessary
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
Familiarity with food handling regulations and food safety standards
Experience with food industry equipment, packaging, and presentation techniques
Creative flair for designing visually appealing desserts and pastries
Strong attention to detail, organization skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team

Pay: $16.00-$18.00 per hour
