Postdoctoral Fellow Position – Proteomics / Oral Microbiology
The Siqueira Research Laboratory invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow in proteomics and/or oral microbiology/microbiology. This position is ideal for a highly motivated researcher seeking advanced training while developing an independent research profile.
The Postdoctoral Fellow will be mentored by the supervisor while operating with a high level of scientific independence, leading projects, publishing in high-impact journals, and contributing to grant development. The goal of this position is to accelerate the fellow’s transition to an independent career in academia or industry.
This is a one-year contract; may end at six months dependent on funding.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and lead independent research projects in proteomics and/or oral microbiology
- Apply advanced analytical, molecular, and microbiological techniques
- Publish original research and contribute to grant applications
- Mentor graduate and undergraduate trainees
- Collaborate within interdisciplinary research teams
Qualifications
- PhD in Proteomics, Microbiology, Oral Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field
- Strong publication record and demonstrated research independence
- Experience with mass spectrometry, bioinformatics, microbial models, or oral systems is an asset
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
