Full job description

Airfield Maintenance Specialist (full-time)

HOURS of WORK – 40 standard hours per week – the summer season is mostly day shifts and the winter seasonal is a rotating days and nights schedule which can be confirmed during the interview process.

TYPICAL DUTIES:

Operate and maintain a variety of heavy equipment to perform maintenance duties on airport runways, taxiways, roads, parking lots and general airfield
Maintains the general airfield by performing general airfield inspection of runways, taxiways, aprons, condition of airfield lighting and signage for vehicle and aircraft navigation
Wildlife control and removal
Assist with emergent airside occurrences, ensuring safety and security for our employees and the public
Support our Trades team with maintenance of equipment and facilities
Provide escort and support to internal and external projects

QUALIFICATIONS:

Grade 12 or equivalent
2-3 years of experience in heavy equipment operation
Possession of a valid Saskatchewan Class 3A Driver’s License with air brake endorsement
Ability to obtain and maintain a Transportation Security Clearance, an Airside Vehicle Operators Permit, and an Industry Canada Radio licence
Proven ability to exercise initiative and discretion
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Excellent ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
Proven commitment to safety with an impeccable safety record
