We’re Growing & Hiring 2 Kennel Attendants
As Wag continues to grow, we’re looking for another Kennel Attendant to join our team! Our goal is to maintain safe staff-to-dog ratios while providing exceptional care for every pup.
What you need to know:
-Permanent, year-round position (not seasonal)
-8-hour shifts between 7 AM–6 PM and evening shifts 5/7 PM–10 PM
-Must be available during school hours. We’re happy to work around university class schedules within reason.
-Available weekends and holidays
We’re looking for someone who:
-Has experience working with dogs
-Is comfortable handling dogs of all sizes and safely assisting with dog altercations if needed
-Is reliable, hardworking, and thrives in a fast-paced environment
**Real talk: This isn’t a job where you’ll cuddle dogs all day (although that’s definitely a perk!). Wag is known for being an exceptionally clean facility, so cleaning and caring for the dogs go hand in hand.

This job consists of many responsibilities that include but are not limited to…
-cleaning duties (vacuuming, mopping, wiping structures and couches, dishes, garbages, washing walls, sanitizing kennels, etc)
-playing and caring for dogs in our care-cleaning up any bodily fluids (poop, pee, vomit) immediately inside and outside (this includes if a dog has poop in its fur- they must be cleaned properly).
-managing behaviours/groupings. You must be comfortable separating dogs (it is very rare, but this means separating dogs in a tiff/fight)
-taking pictures and reporting details
-managing dogs up to 220lbs
-must be able to lift 50 lbs
-comfortable around all breeds and sizes of dogs
-reporting and administering medication
-reporting feedings
-responding to and following additional/medical needs amongst the dogs (ex. Seizures, hearing impaired, blind, anxiety, allergies, etc)- this will be taught!
-using POS system and having exceptional customer service
-you will be working with another employee most of the time so English communication skills are essential for safety reasons
-must be open to working alone on quieter days/nights (our ratios are typical 1:15 depending on needs)
This job is NOT sitting on the couch petting dogs all day-We rarely are sitting down!
Must be willing to do 5 online courses on canine first aid, reading canine first aid, customer service, adding a new dog and group management (we pay for this, but it is done on personal time with a completion bonus)
Pay: Starting at $15.35/hr
-casual dress but professional (ex no pajamas). You must wear a slip lead at all times (provided).
-free on-site parking
We are open 7 days a week 6/7am to 10pm, 365 days a year
