Kreos Aviation - Line Technician
Position Profile:
Under general supervision, perform duties related to the customer service and fueling for Saskatoon airfeild.
This includes customer service, the movement and all related ground handling services of aircraft, fueling of commercial, itinerant, contract and corporate aircraft; the promotion of the Kreos Aviation services and facilities.
All work is to be done by adhering to the prescribed safety standard and in accordance with Shell and Kreos Aviation policies and procedures.
The individual in this position should be self-motivated and have a high regard for Customer Service and Safety.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Greet customers and marshal aircraft providing exceptional customer service.
- Provide professional ground handling and baggage service to all customers’ aircraft.
- Safely operate aircraft in and out of the hangar and on or off various aprons of the airport.
- Receive fuel into bulk storage facility, as necessary following Shell’s procedures.
- Fuel aircraft in a safe, accurate, clean and timely manner, meeting required aviation fueling safety standards.
- Performs Quality Control checks and tests on fuel, fuel dispensing and ground service equipment and records results as specified in the procedure manual.
- Maintain the Quality Assurance Fuel Program records as specified on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly time basis.
- Process all required documentation to fulfil the needs of invoicing and/or collection of account, which will include the operation of Point-Of-Sale equipment.
- Conducts general repairs to vehicles and equipment including ongoing cleaning and maintenance.
- Perform housekeeping/janitorial duties, maintain facility and property to be a clean, safe, and professional environment.
- Assists in additional duties as assigned in support of all team members.
- Foster an environment of teamwork and good relations with all departments.
- All personal are encouraged to be on the alert for hazards on the job, and are responsible for the prompt and diligent reporting of all observed or suspected hazards.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
High School Diploma
Ability and willingness to obtain and complete the following:
Class 3A Licence with clean drivers astract and the ongoing maintenance of a clean abstract for the duration of the position
Airside Vehicle Operators Permit (AVOP)
Radio License and Aircraft Surface Contamination endorsement
Restricted area Identification Card (RAIC)
Shell Aviation Operational Training (ACE)
Experience:
Familiarity with operation of aircraft ground handling equipment, aviation fuel trucks and fuel equipment is an asset but not an essential requirement.
Skills:
Customer Service
Excellent oral and written communication skills coupled with internal and external customer service skills.
Willingness to work shifts as assigned coupled with the ability to work independently.
Self-motivated with mechanical aptitude.
Ability to learn and adapt quickly to a tight time schedule.
Ability to multi-task and attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapt quickly to change and reprioritize as necessary to ensure the service standards of the company are met.
Ability to work irregular/flexible hours including evenings and weekends
Computer skills (including Microsoft products such as Outlook, Word, and Teams) with a high degree of accuracy.
EQUIPMENT TO BE USED:
Aviation refuelling trucks and equipment
Tandem axle vehicles
Ground handling equipment (Ground power unit (mobile), Lav cart, oxygen cart, generator sets (GPU), tractor tug and related ground handling equipment)
Various communication equipment, which include radio base unit, handheld radio, cell phone, etc.
Normal office equipment
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Ability to push, pull and lift 50+lbs
TYPICAL MENTAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to organize and meet simultaneous fuel schedules and work assignments.
Ability to quickly adapt to constantly changing situations and work environments.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Ability to work shifts as assigned on days, evenings, nights and weekends with the flexibility to accommodate delays and possible overtime.
Ability to work in extreme hot and cold temperatures with the majority of work being outdoors.
