Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Stucco Plasterer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in applying stucco and plaster to various surfaces, working on both residential and commercial renovation projects. This role requires proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics. The successful applicant will contribute to high-quality finishes, restoration projects, and new construction, ensuring all work meets safety standards and client specifications.
Responsibilities
- Apply stucco, plaster, and related finishes to walls, ceilings, and exterior surfaces using hand tools and power tools
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to ensure accurate application of materials
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, or repairing as needed for optimal adhesion
- Mix materials accurately according to project specifications
- Operate heavy equipment when necessary for large-scale restoration or renovation projects
- Perform caulking and sealing tasks to ensure weatherproofing and durability of finishes
- Assist in masonry work and coordinate with other trades on-site during construction or restoration projects
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris properly
- Follow safety protocols at all times during the application process
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a stucco plasterer or in related masonry or renovation roles
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Knowledge of construction processes, restoration techniques, and renovation standards
- Strong understanding of building codes and safety regulations
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality craftsmanship
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor in various weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license is preferred but not mandatory
