Apprentice or Journeyperson Plumber/Refrigeration Technician

Location: Saskatoon, SK (servicing Saskatoon and surrounding area)

Core HVAC Services specializes in the service, repair, maintenance, and installation of commercial plumbing, refrigeration, gasfitting, and HVAC equipment. We’re a tight-knit, safety-first team focused on quality work, responsive service, and honest communication.

The Opportunity

We’re hiring an Any-Year Apprentice or Journeyperson Plumber or Refrigeration Technician for full-time employment. HVAC experience is preferred. The role includes occasional day trips and very limited after-hours service, making it a great fit for techs seeking steady commercial work with work–life balance.

What You’ll Do

Perform diagnostics, service, and repairs on commercial HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, and gasfitting systems
Complete preventative maintenance and tune-ups across a variety of commercial equipment
Install new and replacement equipment according to specs, codes, and safety standards
Document work performed, parts used, and customer sign-offs accurately and on time
Communicate clearly with dispatch, team members, and customers to ensure smooth service delivery
Follow company safety practices and all applicable codes and regulations

What You Bring

Required:

Current registration as an Apprentice (any year) or Journeyperson in Plumbing or Refrigeration
Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a good driving record
Ability to troubleshoot mechanically and electrically and to work independently in the field
Strong customer service and professional communication skills

Preferred:

Hands-on HVAC experience in commercial environments
Certifications such as Red Seal, Gasfitter , refrigerant handling ticket
Experience with rooftop units, boilers, chillers, pumps, make-up air, walk-in coolers/freezers, and control systems
