Pura Windows Ltd specializes in the supply and installation of windows, doors, glass, mirrors and blinds. We are recognized for our craftsmanship and our customer service, and we are expanding our installation team.
POSITION OVERVIEW
This is a permanent, full-time position. Our peak season runs from March through November. Work continues through the winter months, though it is more weather dependent and hours may vary during that period, so flexibility is essential. The rate of pay is $25 to $32 per hour, depending on experience. Health, dental and vision benefits are available after three months of employment and good standing. For a candidate with the experience to do so, there is scope to run jobs on site and take on a lead role within the crew.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Install residential windows and doors to specification and industry standards
- Remove existing windows and doors with care
- Measure, cut and fit materials as required
- Complete finishing work, including caulking, insulation and trim installation
- Maintain a clean and safe worksite
- Communicate effectively with customers and crew members
- Where experience allows, run jobs on site and provide direction to the crew
- Complete projects on schedule and to the company's quality standards
QUALIFICATIONS
- One to two years of experience in window and door installation; candidates with more experience are encouraged to apply
- Working knowledge of tools and general construction practices
- Ability to lift and move heavy materials
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a crew
