Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. This is a full-time, days position. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. As a key member of our team, you will prepare and serve beverages, bakery and gelato items, ensure customer satisfaction, and maintain a clean and welcoming atmosphere. This role offers an opportunity to develop your skills in food handling, cashiering, and food safety while providing exceptional service to our customers.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other drinks using POS systems such as Micros POS.
Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties.
Assist customers with menu selections and answer questions about products.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including food preparation stations.
Follow food safety standards and proper food handling procedures at all times.
Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without compromising quality.
Restock supplies as needed and ensure all equipment is functioning properly.
Provide excellent customer service by creating a welcoming environment for all patrons.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Barista or in the food industry is preferred.
Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus.
Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude.
Ability to perform food preparation, serving, and basic math calculations accurately.
Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy hours.
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction processing.
