About Northern Snow

Northern Snow is Sault Ste. Marie’s largest residential snow removal company — 5,000+ homes, a fleet of 60 tractors, and a team that prides itself on showing up before the rest of the city wakes up. In summer, our sister company Northern Lawns keeps the same customers’ properties looking sharp. We move fast, we care about our community, and we hold the bar high.

The Role

Our CEO moves at speed. He’s running a high-growth seasonal business, managing key vendor relationships, and making a lot of decisions — fast. What he needs is someone who keeps the details from slipping: a person who can own his inbox and calendar, make sure he’s prepared for every meeting, handle the follow-through, and manage the day-to-day tasks that eat time he doesn’t have.

This is a part-time, in-person role based in Sault Ste. Marie. You’ll work closely with the CEO and the operations leadership team. If you’re organized, proactive, and take pride in making other people more effective — this is for you.

What You’ll Do

Manage the CEO’s inbox — draft and send emails on his behalf, triage incoming messages, and make sure nothing important falls through the cracks.
Own the calendar — schedule and coordinate business meetings, personal appointments, board meetings, and travel. Keep it clean, conflict-free, and current.
Prepare the CEO for every meeting — briefing notes, talking points, structured agendas sent in advance.
Handle follow-through after meetings — capture action items, assign owners, and send follow-up emails to the right people.
Manage personal errands and reminders so the CEO’s attention stays where it matters.
Coordinate with vendors and contractors on his behalf — outreach, follow-up, and keeping relationships organized.
Handle routine tasks independently and escalate anything that needs a decision.

What We’re Looking For

2+ years of experience as an executive assistant, administrative assistant, or in a similar support role.
Strong written communication — you write clearly, match tone to the situation, and don’t over-explain.
Solid calendar and scheduling skills — managing competing priorities across multiple calendars doesn’t faze you.
Discretion — you’ll handle sensitive business and personal information. That stays with you.
Comfortable with Google WorkspaceGmail, Calendar, Docs, Drive, Asana, etc.).
You’re proactive. You spot what needs to happen before being asked.

Nice to Have

Experience supporting a business owner or senior executive in a small or growing company.
Familiarity with a trades, construction, or operations environment.
Event coordination or travel logistics experience.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
