Senior Accounting Analyst — 12-Month Contract

Aeolus Staffing Solutions is building a confidential candidate pipeline for an anticipated Senior Accounting Analyst opportunity with a large Ontario-based organization.

Contract Term: 12 months
Location: North York
Work Arrangement: Hybrid
Compensation: $45.00–$60.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications

Key Responsibilities

Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities.
Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations and supporting schedules.
Analyze financial results and investigate significant variances.
Assist with internal and external financial reporting.
Support budgeting, forecasting and audit requirements.
Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
Collaborate with finance teams and business stakeholders.
Contribute to accounting projects and process improvements.
Support the continued effectiveness of financial controls.

Qualifications

CPA designation or active progress toward completion is preferred.
Five or more years of progressive accounting or financial-reporting experience.
Strong knowledge of IFRS and accounting principles.
Experience with account reconciliations, financial analysis and period-end reporting.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Experience working with enterprise financial systems.
Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders.
Experience within a large or complex organization is an asset.
