Position Summary
We are currently seeking reliable, detail-oriented, and guest-focused Housekeeping & Laundry Attendants to join our team. In this role, you will help maintain the cleanliness, comfort, and presentation of guest rooms, public spaces, and laundry facilities while delivering excellent customer service.
This position plays an important role in creating a welcoming resort experience for every guest.
Key Relationships
Internal
- Collaborate with housekeeping supervisors, department leaders, and fellow team members
- Communicate effectively regarding room status, maintenance concerns, and operational needs
External
- Interact professionally and courteously with resort guests and visitors
- Deliver responsive and friendly guest service at all times
Qualifications
The qualifications below represent the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to successfully perform this role.
Preferred
- WHMIS Certification
- High School Diploma, currently enrolled student, or equivalent vocational education
Experience & Knowledge
Preferred
- Previous cleaning, housekeeping, or janitorial experience
- Previous hotel, resort, or hospitality experience
Skills & Abilities
Required
- Ability to operate housekeeping equipment such as vacuums and cleaning tools
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks in a timely manner
- Professional, positive, and dependable work ethic
Additional Requirements
Some team members may be required to operate resort vehicles such as golf carts, vans, or trucks in accordance with company policies and training.
Physical & Working Conditions
This role is physically active and requires:
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, reaching, and repetitive movement
- Lifting and carrying laundry bags, linens, and supplies up to 25 lbs
- Working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Regular use of cleaning products and housekeeping equipment
Training is provided for all operational aspects of the position.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain compliance with all company policies, procedures, and health & safety standards
- Attend required training sessions and team meetings
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
- Prepare and organize housekeeping carts and supply areas
- Clean and service guest rooms, cottages, and public areas according to resort standards
- Vacuum, dust, mop, sanitize, and replenish guest amenities
- Stock coffee stations and guest supplies in designated areas
- Report maintenance issues or damaged equipment promptly
- Launder, fold, organize, and store linens and towels
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in laundry facilities
- Monitor laundry equipment and report malfunctions
- Assist guests using on-site laundry facilities when required
- Deliver exceptional guest service and uphold resort hospitality standards
