We're looking for a warm, outgoing, and motivated Optometric Assistant to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who loves connecting with people, has an eye for style, and enjoys helping others feel their best. Whether you're assisting a patient in finding the perfect pair of glasses or helping create a welcoming experience from the moment they arrive, you'll play an important role in helping our patients feel cared for and valued.
Your primary focus will be in our optical gallery, helping patients choose frames and lenses that complement their vision needs, lifestyle, personality, and style.
We're looking for someone who is naturally friendly and confident, enjoys building genuine relationships, and wants to be part of a supportive, positive, and growth-oriented team.
What Your Days Will Look Like
- Helping patients select frames they feel confident and excited to wear
- Guiding patients through lens options and explaining products in an approachable and personalized way
- Assisting patients in finding eyewear solutions that fit their vision needs, lifestyle, and personal style
- Adjusting and dispensing glasses with care and attention to detail
- Creating memorable patient experiences through exceptional customer service
- Building meaningful relationships and helping patients feel welcomed, valued, and cared for
- Assisting with front desk responsibilities and learning other areas of the clinic
- Cross-training in pre-testing and clinical support tasks
- Supporting the team in delivering a seamless and personalized patient journey
- Working alongside a team that genuinely enjoys what they do and cares deeply about their patients
What We're Looking For
- Someone outgoing, personable, compassionate, and patient-focused
- A confident communicator who enjoys meeting and helping people
- A team player who is reliable, committed, and eager to learn
- Strong customer service skills and attention to detail
- A passion for helping people see, look, and feel their best
- An interest in fashion, eyewear styling, wellness, and patient care
- Experience in sales, retail, fashion, customer service, or optometry is a strong asset
- Experience using Optosys, Slack, Google Docs, and Canva is an asset, but not required for the right candidate
- Optical experience is wonderful, but we are happy to train the right person
