Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Sandwich Maker to join our team in delivering high-quality food service to our customers. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop culinary and hospitality skills while contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests.

Duties

Prepare and assemble sandwiches according to established recipes and customer specifications
Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and payment handling
Manage cash handling accurately and efficiently during transactions
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in food preparation areas, adhering to food safety protocols
Ensure all food items are prepared safely, following proper food handling and sanitation procedures
Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed
Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, answering questions, and ensuring a positive experience
Follow all restaurant policies regarding food safety, sanitation, and health regulations

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation and food service environments, preferably in restaurants or similar settings
Familiarity with POS systems.
Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders simultaneously during busy periods
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
Knowledge of food handling safety standards and sanitation practices
Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and managing transactions accurately
Experience in cashiering or serving roles within the food industry is highly desirable
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Kitchen experience that demonstrates familiarity with food industry standards is a plus
Upselling abilities to promote additional menu items and enhance sales performance

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.60 per hour
