We are currently seeking a highly organized and motivated Safety & Logistics Coordinator to join our team. This position plays a critical role in supporting our Health & Safety Program, fleet compliance initiatives, employee training programs, and operational logistics. The successful candidate will work closely with management, supervisors, and field personnel to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations across all projects.
Position Summary
Under the supervision of management, the Safety & Logistics Coordinator is responsible for supporting the company's health and safety management system, fleet compliance program, training administration, and operational logistics. This position assists with maintaining regulatory compliance, promoting a positive safety culture, and ensuring company resources are coordinated effectively to support field operations.
Key Responsibilities
Health & Safety Administration
- Develop, review, update, and maintain company safety documentation
- Assist with the implementation and continuous improvement of the company's Safety Management System.
- Support Certificate of Recognition (COR) program development, maintenance, and audit readiness.
- Maintain document control, revision tracking, and distribution of safety documentation.
- Coordinate and maintain safety records, forms, and compliance documentation.
Incident Management
- Participate in incident, injury, vehicle, and near-miss investigations.
- Review investigation reports and corrective actions with supervisors and management.
- Track corrective actions through to completion.
- Analyze incident trends and assist with implementing preventative measures.
Training & Competency Management
- Coordinate employee safety training, certifications, and recertifications.
- Schedule orientations, training sessions, and competency evaluations.
- Maintain training records and competency matrices.
- Assist with the development of orientation materials and training resources.
- Monitor employee qualifications and regulatory compliance requirements.
Fleet Compliance & Vehicle Safety
- Manage fleet safety and compliance programs.
- Monitor vehicle inspections, maintenance schedules, registrations, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain commercial vehicle compliance documentation and records.
- Review driver qualifications and licensing requirements.
- Assist with driver safety initiatives and fleet safety programs.
- Monitor vehicle incidents and corrective actions.
Safety Committee & Employee Engagement
- Support the Health and Safety Committee and Safety Representative programs.
- Coordinate meetings, agendas, minutes, and action item tracking.
- Assist with workplace inspections and follow-up activities.
- Promote employee participation in safety initiatives.
- Develop and distribute toolbox talks, safety alerts, and safety communications.
Operational & Logistics Support
- Assist with scheduling and coordinating personnel, equipment, and vehicle resources.
- Support field operations through effective logistics planning and coordination.
- Maintain operational documentation and records.
- Assist management with administrative projects and operational initiatives.
Compliance & Auditing
- Ensure compliance with applicable Occupational Health & Safety legislation, transportation regulations, and company policies.
- Conduct internal audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.
- Assist with external audits, regulatory inspections, and customer safety requirements.
- Prepare reports, performance summaries, and compliance documentation for management.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate electronic and physical records.
- Prepare reports, spreadsheets, safety statistics, and compliance tracking documents.
- Track corrective actions, inspections, training requirements, and regulatory obligations.
- Support management with general office administration and special projects.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety legislation and industry best practices.
- Understanding of fleet compliance and commercial vehicle safety requirements.
- Experience with incident investigations, risk assessments, and hazard identification.
- Strong administrative and documentation skills.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
- Reliable transportation.
- Criminal Record Check required.
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Fluent in English.
Pay: $45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
