Our marina serves hundreds of annual moorage customers, welcomes visiting boaters from around the world, and supports a vibrant waterfront community of local businesses, marine professionals, and recreational boaters.

About the Position
Working alongside the General Manager and the front office crew, you'll help ensure our marina operates smoothly while delivering an exceptional experience for every customer who visits.
This is much more than an administrative position.
You'll be a part of the welcoming face of Port Sidney Marina, assisting customers, supporting marina operations, coordinating reservations, processing financial transactions, and helping create the positive, professional atmosphere our customers have come to expect.

Your Responsibilities:
Customer Experience
- Welcome customers in person, by telephone, email, and VHF radio.
- Deliver exceptional customer service with professionalism and enthusiasm.
- Manage transient reservations, seasonal moorage agreements, and customer inquiries.
- Coordinate arrivals and departures with marina crew.
- Respond to customer requests promptly and professionally.
- Build positive relationships with our boating community.
Administration
- Prepare moorage agreements and customer documentation.
- Maintain accurate customer, vessel, and financial records.
- Process invoices, payments, deposits, and daily balancing.
- Assist with accounts receivable and collections.
- Generate management reports.
- Support month-end accounting procedures.
- Maintain organized electronic and paper filing systems.
Office Coordination
- Maintain office supplies and inventory.
- Process retail sales and point-of-sale transactions.
- Assist in developing and improving office procedures.
- Help maintain a welcoming, efficient, and professional office environment.
Marina Operations Support
- Maintain marina records and operational documentation.
- Assist with incident reporting and emergency communications.
- Support safety procedures and operational checklists.
- Work closely with dock crew to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Technology
- Operate marina management software.
- Process electronic payments.
- Administer gate access and key card systems.
- Produce occupancy and operational reports.
- Assist with basic office technology troubleshooting.

QualificationsRequired
- Minimum two years of administrative, office, hospitality, or customer service experience.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience with billing, cash handling, and accounts receivable.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
- Ability to work weekends and statutory holidays during the boating season.
Preferred
- Marina, hospitality, tourism, or property management experience.
- Experience with reservation or property management software.
- Accounting or bookkeeping experience.
- Basic boating knowledge or willingness to learn marine terminology.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
Physical Requirements
- Primarily office-based with regular walking throughout the marina.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.
- Ability to safely work around docks and waterfront environments.
