What you’ll be doing:
You will be a welcomed member of the team, working in a fast-paced environment where you will make a meaningful difference in residents’ lives. As a Dishwasher, you will help maintain residents’ health and well-being by ensuring dishes, kitchen equipment, and work areas are clean, safe, and sanitary at all times. As an individual and part of a wider team, you will be a strong contributor to the culture of the home, where the focus is always on helping residents live fully, every day.
What makes you a great fit?
- Cleaning dishes, pots, glassware, and cutlery following established sanitation procedures
- Ensuring correct usage of chemicals in dish machine and pot-washing areas, i.e. uses 3-sink method for pot washing
- Cleaning kitchen, including mopping entire floor
- Assuming cleaning tasks as per site cleaning schedules
- Receiving, uncrating, and putting away supplier deliveries as required
- Alerting team leader to problems and makes recommendations about corrective action
- Performing other duties as assigned
What you need to know:
- Grade 10 minimum education required.
- Must have Smart Serve designation and one year experience in dining room service.
- Proven customer service skills and excellent command of verbal and written English language.
- Ability to work independently and/or as a member of a team
- Safe Food Handling Certification is preferred.
- All applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Vulnerable Sector Check. You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work/study permit
- You must successfully pass a Vulnerable Sector Check and Criminal Records Check
