Guest Experience Associate (Room Attendant)

The Opportunity
Reporting to the Guest Experience Manager, the Guest Experience Associate (Room Attendant) is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing rooms and common areas, ensuring with quality of cleanliness and sanitation are maintained at all times. In addition, the Room Attendant will be responsible for processing laundry, including sorting and folding. While your primary responsibilities will align with those of Room Attendant, you will be required to assist with other duties as needed to support the organization's operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform all housekeeping duties as assigned, adhering to Métis Crossing’s room cleaning procedures.
- Maintain hygiene and comply with health and safety standards of the Lodge.
- Clean guestrooms thoroughly, including: Stripping checkout rooms, making beds, dusting, and vacuuming. Sanitizing all surfaces, including furniture, light switches, and windowsills. Cleaning bathrooms, sinks, taps, vanities, mirrors, tubs, showers, walls, and toilets.
- Wash doors, windows, and walls in public areas and guest rooms as required.
- Set up and rearrange furniture in guest rooms.
- Handle daily removal and transport of soiled linens and garbage.
- Process laundry, including washing, drying, sorting, and folding.
- Submit lost and found items to the Accommodations Supervisor.
- Report inventory discrepancies to the Guest Services Supervisor.
- Ensure work areas, housekeeping rooms, and equipment are clean and organized.
- Assist guests when needed, ensuring exceptional service.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Knowledge of Alberta history and cultural diversity is an asset.
- Familiarity with Métis culture, history, and issues affecting Métis people is an asset.
Qualifications
- Previous housekeeping experience or familiarity with cleaning processes is preferred.
- High school diploma is an asset.
- Level C First Aid/CPR certification is an advantage.
- Ability to obtain and/or maintain WHMIS certification.
- Capability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
Other Requirements
- This position is based on-site at Métis Crossing in Smoky Lake.
- Flexibility to work a schedule that may include days, evenings, nights, and weekends.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and reliable transportation are required.
- Must provide a clear Criminal Record Check.
Employment Details
Schedule is based on up to a 40-hour work week and will include weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
