About Us

We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Cook to join our team and help provide nutritious, appealing meals that contribute to the health and well-being of those we serve.

Position Summary

The Cook is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality meals in accordance with approved menus, dietary requirements, food safety standards, and resident preferences. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the dietary and care teams to ensure a positive dining experience for residents.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, cook, and serve meals and snacks according to established menus and recipes.
Ensure all food is prepared and stored in compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations.
Accommodate special diets and nutritional requirements as directed.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen equipment, workstations, and storage areas.
Monitor food inventory and assist with ordering and receiving supplies.
Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.
Work cooperatively with team members to provide excellent service to residents.

Qualifications

Previous cooking experience in a healthcare, long-term care, hospitality, or institutional setting is considered an asset.
Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain).
Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling practices.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Reliable, dependable, and committed to providing quality service.
