Title: Procurement Specialist
Salary: $68,263 - $85,328 - $93,861 per year (pay range explained below)
Contract: Leave Coverage, Term from July 1st to April 30th, 2027
Hours: 37.5 hours (core hours 9am-3pm Mon-Fri)
Location: Metro Vancouver: Alberni office, located on traditional territories of Musqueam nations– Hybrid (Hybrid working is an option in line with FNHA’s flex work policy).
About the role
As Procurement Specialist, you will partner with internal and external clients to determine the procurement method. You will coordinate the vendor selection process; maintain a pre-qualified list of vendors by goods and services category; interface and negotiate with suppliers for price, delivery; prepares legal binding documents and oversees full life cycle for the agreement; solicit and analyze quotations; perform periodic audits of transactions to ensure compliance; prepare management and compliance reports. Additionally, the role uses independent judgment in resolution of routine and non-routine responsibilities to ensure high quality client services support.

Education & Experience

The requirements for this position would typically be acquired through a degree, plus 4 to 6 years of progressively responsible experience in procurement, materials management and contract administration or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Achievement of a Supply Chain Management Professional designation would be a definite asset.
Knowledge

Excellent planning, interpersonal skills and collaboration skills with the ability to interact with staff at all levels.

Excellent communication skills – oral, written, proof reading.

Ability to be flexible and adaptable.

Demonstrated ability to multi-task, set priorities effectively and problem solve, including early identification of issues/problems that may arise.

The Pay Range is the minimum and maximum annual salary based on full time equivalent hours.
Incumbents are typically hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on their knowledge, skills, abilities and experience in relation to the role requirements.
The top 10% of the pay range is for the incumbents who are industry experts in the job with the combination of exceptional experience and competencies needed to perform all duties and responsibilities at a superior capability level. Internal employee compensation will be determined as per the FNHA Employee Total Compensation Policy.
