Pearl Space Society and Pearl’s Value and Vintage (PV&V), we work from an intersectional feminist perspective and value a diverse workplace. Main Function:

At Pearl’s we have found it works well to have all employees trained to work in all areas of the store, to allow for a unified team and great flexibility. As such, with the exception of management, all staff share the title of Cashier/Receiver unless otherwise specified at the time of hiring.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

· Represent our organization and values every day by being a friendly face of PearlSpace

· Customer service including cashiering, bagging/boxing, helping customers find what they need

· Stocking and organizing merchandise to be sold

· General store upkeep such as maintaining change rooms, racks and surfaces, keeping a tidy work environment, daily cleaning and maintenance of the store

· Assist and thank donors, manage donation flow in safe manner

· Evaluate, inspect, and price donated items

· Sort, hang and tag clothing and accessory items

· Ensure management directives are carried out regarding policies and procedures

· Ability to think quickly and problem solve

· Organized, fast and efficient

· Excellent verbal communication skills

· Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment

· Ability to create and foster a positive and cheerful work atmosphere

· Must have a passion for community service and genuinely enjoy working with people

This position requires a criminal record check by the police and an authorization for a criminal record check under the Criminal Records Review Act of BC.

Reports to: Store Manager

Closing Date: Open until filled and be available to work one day on the weekends.

Wage: $22.00
