Job Summary:
The Mechanical Assembler’s primary function is to build and assemble parts, pipe fitting, and enclosures. Handle, move, load, and unload material, mostly heavy metal, by hand or using a variety of material handling equipment, including forklifts and overhead cranes in a high trafficking manufacturing environment.
This shift is from Mon- Thurs: 4pm- 2:30am.

Job Responsibilities:
- Understand tolerances to determine assembly operations.
- Assist with rigging, hoisting, moving, and aligning simple subassemblies and components to storage areas or within the worksite using overhead cranes and forklifts using established safety precautions.
- Fit and assemble simple parts to build heavy industrial products and equipment according to drawings and product specifications.
- Assist in installing major components such as tanks, louvers, dampers, large-scale frames, generators, insulation, soundproofing systems, and building panels using hand and power tools.
- Help and report with inspection, testing, examination, and investigation of parts, subassemblies, and finished products to ensure quality and detect irregularities and malfunctions.
- Install/bend mechanical tubing from engineering assembly drawings
- Inspect, test, examine and investigate parts, subassemblies, and finished products to ensure quality and detect irregularities and malfunctions.
- Ensure standards for safe working conditions are observed following the Occupational Health and Safety Act and participate in regular safety talks. Perform a visual inspection of equipment, including cranes, forklifts, and other tools, to ensure they are in safe working condition.
Job Specific Qualifications
- Minimum 2-4 years experience in a heavy industrial equipment environment.
- Ability to travel within North America with a valid passport and driver's license.
- Must have own power and hand tools.
- Ability to work in high paced work environment.
